Drawing of a person walking through a dark forest. Multiple magpies are perched in the trees. A faint silhouette of four gigantic birds is visible through the trees - a female terror-bird and her three chicks. The chicks are the same height as the person, while their mother is easily twice as tall.

Day 6 - Coven

"Terror-birds are among the most dangerous birds in the world, especially when raising their young. Their large size, ability to use Aether, and physical strength all serve to make them apex predators. Scavengers such as magpies tend to follow them for leftovers, gathering in flocks known as 'covens'. If you see a coven of magpies all staring at you - it's already too late." - excerpt from a guide to traversing areas containing dangerous magical flora and fauna.
